I have been using Excel, among other programs, since I was at school in the early 90s when Windows had only just been developed and macros weren’t a thing yet. I’ve always been of the opinion that the software can do anything you want or need it to – you just have to work out how to get there. Sometimes there are simple methods which have been programmed in by Microsoft, but more often there are so-called workarounds, or ways of coercing the application to perform tricks for you. I’ll aim to demonstrate some of the methods to teach Excel some tricks!
