Death in the Phone Booth

What was the cause of this poor man’s death?

SOLUTION
The man was a keen fisherman. He had been fishing that day, and he caught a fish so large that he had to call his friend to tell him all about it. When he got to the part where he said “… and it was THIS BIG…” he demonstrated with his hands. Unfortunately the limited space inside the phone box meant that he put both hands through the glass of the walls, cutting his wrists as he did so.
