The third and strongest of the Valheim vessels that you can build, the Viking Longship is bigger, faster, stronger, and has more storage capacity than both the Raft and the Karve. It can also perform better, sailing closer to the wind.
The Valheim Viking Longship is the iconic Viking sailing vessel, capable of covering vast oceans and transporting numerous crew and cargo. In Valheim you will need to have discovered iron, through muddy piles found in Sunken Crypts in the Swamp biome, and Ancient Bark, also found in the Swamp biome by cutting down ancient trees.
To craft a Longship you will need the following items:
- 100 Iron Nails
- 10 Deer Hides
- 40 Fine Wood
- 40 Ancient Bark
To sail a Longship you need exactly the same sailing skills as the Raft and the Karve. Just hop aboard and interact with the tiller to begin sailing. The cargo hold has 18 slots available – plenty of space for huge tonnage of raw materials after a successful mining voyage.
