The team at Iron Gate are still working hard on our favourite Viking survival/building/role-play game. They have taken the time out to let us know how things are going and to give us another couple of teasers for the upcoming Hearth and Home update.

Here is the full blog: Dev Blog 28/05/21.

The two images they have released this time are as unhelpful as they are tantalising. The first could be a scroll, or a leather tent, or even a sail of a ship. We’re going with a scroll, perhaps to record things, or even for sharing maps with other players.

The second image is more clear. We can tell the scale, roughly, and it does look to be some form of fencing or window shutter. That could be completely wrong, but windows are one item in short supply at the moment.

The other information given is a re-iteration of Iron Gate’s approach to updates – that it takes as long as it takes to do it right, and they don’t want to tie themselves down with a release date. That’s fair enough, and that way nobody is disappointed. It is possible that the fact they are re-iterating this means that they hoped to be close to release by now but are a little way behind? The imminent hire of new staff may help if this is the case, but that, again, is just speculation.

Finally, there is a mention of a potential Q&A in June. That is bound to be interesting, and it is likely that Iron Gate expect to have some news to provide to us at that time.

In the meantime, why not take a look at our complete guide to food, in preparation for the Hearth and Home changes being developed.
