When you start the game you will be on a 2×2 raft with only a plastic hook in your hand and plenty of detritus in the ocean gliding past. You will find very quickly that if you wait for items to come to you then most of them will be just out of reach when they pass you. You could jump in the water, but that only attracts the attention of Bruce, the friendly Great White Shark. Alternatively, you can use your hook to reel in the bounty.
Aim past the object, and just in front. It will take a little while to throw, but once you’re in the water you can take your time to reel it in. The hook will pick up anything it touches while on the way back to you, so you could end up with a multitude of goodies on your hook!
