5. Learn How to Hunt Sharks

The best way to avoid being eaten by a Great White Shark called Bruce may not be to stay out of the water. For those that need to enter the water it is far better to learn how to fight back and hunt sharks in Raft!

Bruce is a creature of routine, and he will always attack in a set way. After each attack on a diver he will swim past for a short distance, turn around, and head straight back again. He will open his jaws just before he reaches you each time. There may be a longer duration in between each attack due to the shape of the seabed, but otherwise it is around 5 – 8 seconds.

Knowing this, you can easily set yourself up in the ideal position to strike, and eventually you will wear him down and have Shark Steaks for supper.

While Bruce is swimming up to you, you need to swim directly towards him. Wait until he opens his mouth. As soon as he does, strike with your spear on his nose. This will cause him to dive away, and the cycle starts again. The number of hits needed varies on the difficulty level and on the type of spear. Take care not to run out of air – keep near to the surface and resurface as soon as he turns away every two or three runs.
